Student Transportation Update - Thursday, January 29, 2026 / Westview Dr. Roundabout Construction Reminder
STUDENT TRANSPORTATION UPDATE:
The Morgan County R-II School District will be back to regular bus routes this afternoon, Thursday, January 29.
ROUNDABOUT CONSTRUCTION REMINDER:
Don't forget! As of 8:30 a.m. this morning, MoDOT began work to install a larger culvert in and around the entrance/exit of Westview Drive next to B-W Graphics. You will not be able to enter or exit using this portion of Westview Drive for at least up to two weeks. All work is weather-dependent and subject to change.
Morgan County R-II school buses will enter and exit using the back entrance near the baseball/softball field. They will then travel up and down the portion of Westview Drive that is near Outdoor Addiction and its parking lot in order to have access to W. Newton Street. We ask that all other school-related traffic please use the front entrances at/near Versailles Elementary and McDonald's during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal.
School Resource Officers (SROs) will be on site to assist with traffic flow. Please anticipate possible delays and use extra caution when driving in or near these areas. Also, please watch for students who are crossing at crosswalks or students and staff walking to/near our school buildings. Allow for extra time, especially in the mornings, to ensure that students arrive at school on time.
Thank you in advance for your patience, flexibility, and support during this construction period. Also, thank you to our Transportation Department, bus drivers, SROs, and the Versailles Police Department for their assistance during this time.
