2025-2026 Winter Weather Communications (Parents/Guardians)
As winter approaches, we want to make sure everyone stay informed and safe when weather impacts our school day. When a decision is made to cancel school, hold an AMI day, run bus snow routes, or dismiss early, Morgan County R-II will communicate through several methods to keep everyone in the loop.
You’ll receive a text message, email, and automated phone call, and we’ll also post updates on our district Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as on the district website at www.versaillestigers.org. In addition, announcements will air on local media outlets:
- KS95 Radio in Versailles (FM 95.1)
- KRMS–KY94 in Osage Beach (FM 93.5 and AM 1150)
- KCVO in Camdenton (FM 91.7)
- And, when possible, KRCG-TV (Channel 13) in Jefferson City and KOMU-TV (Channel 8) in Columbia.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we make decisions with student and staff safety as our top priority.
Please note: Additional information will be shared regarding our upcoming mass communication test which will take place tomorrow, Thursday, November 6, in an additional message to follow.

Winter Weather Preparedness Week Resources
The National Weather Service (NWS) along with the Missouri Department of Public Safety (DPS), Missouri State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), the Missouri Highway Patrol (MHP), and the State Fire Marshal, has designated November 3-7, 2025 as Winter Weather Preparedness Week for the state of Missouri. Winter storms and cold temperatures can be extremely dangerous. We encourage everyone to use this week to review the hazards and safety rules of winter weather so they are prepared for the upcoming winter season.
We hope everyone has a safe winter season!
